The Bradford Economic Strategy, produced in 2007 by the Bradford Economic Partnership and Bradford Council sets out a vision for Bradford's economy to 2016, and highlights key priorities for action.

Economic Strategy Delivery Plan

Bradford Council's Executive will be asked to approve a plan that brings together actions to deliver an economic strategy for the district at its next meeting on June 23.

2nd Regeneration Summit - Making Great Places

Bradford Council held the second in its series of regeneration summits on Friday 24 April 2009.

The theme of the event at the Midland Hotel was 'Making Great Places' with local business people joining representatives from the public sector in the discussions.

Monthly Unemployment Update

May 2009 unemployment figures for Bradford district were published on Wednesday 17th June 2009. 

A total of 15,516 people were claiming Job Seekers Allowance in Bradford in April 2009 - a rate of 5.1% of the working age population, higher than the Yorkshire & Humber regional rate (4.8%) and the national rate (4.1%).
